Who are Farcycles?
Farcycles Ltd (hereinafter referred to as ‘Farcycles’,) is an Oxfordshire-based Limited Company and charity that encourages community participation in recreational and lifestyle cycling, through training activities, organised rides and events, and promotion of the benefits of cycling, for people and the planet.
What information do we collect?
We currently collect and process the following information:
To work with cyclists joining our organised Group Rides effectively, we will keep your email address, your name, and possibly your mobile number for emergencies.
For use by the Farcycles Bike Shop we will collect:

Purchase Information: Details about the products or services you purchase from us.
Transaction Information: Details about payments to and from you and other details of products and services you have purchased from us.
Communications: Any communications and correspondence between us, including emails, live chats, and phone calls.
For use by the Farcycles Grant Fund and Referrals team, we will collect:

We record CCTV footage at our Cycle Park including video, stills and audio.
How do we collect your personal information and what do we use it for?
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
To contact you about a bike service, repair or donation at the Farycles Bike Shop
To provide and improve our services, including fulfilling orders and processing payments.
To communicate with you, including responding to your inquiries, orders and providing customer support.
To personalize your experience and tailor our offerings to your preferences.

To prevent fraud and enhance the security of our website and services.

To communicate with you about events coming up - or possibly other cycling-related topics that we think may be of interest to you.
In the event of an emergency on an organised Farcycles group ride
We capture video, stills and audio via CCTV which is sited to cover the Faringdon Cycle Park. This data is triggered by movement and is used to reduce and deter crime. We may share this CCTV information with the Police in the event of a criminal investigation. No data is shared with 3rd parties or processors.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

We have a legitimate interest.
How we store your personal information.
Your information is securely stored. We take online privacy and security extremely seriously. No one apart from assigned administrators can export or modify your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
We’ll keep your personal information only for as long as you want us to keep it. In all cases, our need to use your personal information will be reassessed on a regular basis, and information which is no longer required for any purposes will be disposed of. The information we record about you will be accessible to a small number of Farcycles volunteers who help with running the Farcycles Bike Shop, maintaining the Cycle Park, planning, teaching, campaigning, and communicating.
We keep Cycle Park CCTV video, stills and audio for 30 days and then it is securely overwritten.
